Known to the market as manufacturer of STALLION brand of UPS and Invertor since 1990. The REVAN battery designed and developed by passionate technocrat Sunil Armani has undergone many advanced changes since its inception in 2002. The on field experience of mandatory charge-discharge characteristics of battery required for UPS and Invertor applications has been the major contributor to todays REVAN battery.
Our well thought battery paste chemical formulation and consistent improvement in raw material processing based on tear-down analysis of battery problems has resulted in extremely encouraging and satisfactory field performance of REVAN battery.
We are proud to announce that all our products i.e. UPS, Inverters and Batteries are 100% indigenous products. We have developed the technology, sourced for raw materials and employed skilled workers completely in India. Hence our slogan, "Our Own Indian Product". We also have the prestigious ISO 9001:2008 Certification and are members of the National Small Industries Corporation.
We have addressed the core issue of Positive Plate Grid Corrosion and Shedding of Active Material by adopting tubular positive plate construction to counter shedding of active material while delaying the process of corrosion of positive grid by using High Pressure Die Casting Technology.
The REVAN Tubular Battery is designed & developed after carefully understanding the mandatory charge-discharge characteristics of battery required for UPS & Invertor functioning.
After having worked consistently and relentlessly we have finally succeeded in a unique die design to cast the positive grid under high pressure (above 100 bars).
This technique adopted by us is rare amongst SSI units due high capital investment and considerable running and maintenance cost. We have developed this process on world renowned Italian "IDRA" High Pressure Die Casting Machine.
This is truly a rare feat for a SSI unit since to achieve such kind of a result you need machines imported from Europe costing more than Rs. 1 crore.
Hot chamber machines are used primarily for lead, zinc, copper and magnesium and other low melting point alloys having worse fluidity. The injection mechanism is immersed in the molten metal furnace. The furnace attached to the machine by a metal feed system called a gooseneck. As the injection cylinder plunger rises, a port in the injection cylinder opens, allowing molten metal to fill the cylinder. As hydraulic plunger moves downwards it seals the port and forces molten metal at high pressure usually above 100 bars through gooseneck and nozzle into the die cavity. After the metal has solidified in the die cavity with the assistance of water cooling system, the plunger is withdrawn, the die opens and the casting is ejected. While the extra alloy in gooseneck flows back to the furnace.
The Process Advantages
Advantage to Battery Plate
The positive plate grid cast by above process has features like
These features facilitate excellent resistance to corrosion which ultimately delays the corrosion process. This delay increases the life cycle of the battery appreciably as compared to life cycle achieved through other casting techniques.
This process along with other manufacturing activities is the foundation of long life REVAN tubular battery.
